Iwerne and Forres Team

Paul BoltonPaul Bolton

Paul heads up the Iwerne Staff Team. He first came on Iwerne as a 14 year old at Tonbridge School and has come back almost every summer since. He studied Classics at St. John’s Oxford and Theology at Peterhouse Cambridge. Before joining the staff, he was curate at Britain’s easternmost church in Lowestoft, Suffolk. Paul is married to Kirsty and they have twin daughters, Florence and Alice, a son, Harry, with whom he shares a passion for Everton FC and Welsh rugby, and another daughter, Martha.


Tim DosserTim Dossor

Tim is assistant to Paul Bolton in the Iwerne team with particular responsibility for our activity programme. He’s married to Rachel and has two daughters, Sophie and Mary. Tim loves anything to do with wind and waves – sailing, windsurfing, power-kiting. He studied at Birmingham University and Ridley Hall, Cambridge, where he trained for ordination.


Antonia InstoneAntonia Instone

Antonia joined the Iwerne team in June 2012 with particular responsibility for girls at Iwerne. After school at Benenden and Charterhouse, Antonia was part of one of the first Iwerne Gap teams to Bolivia. She studied Spanish and Politics at Durham University and her previous job was running the Crosslinks SMILE Programme, sending teams of young adults across Africa and Asia. Antonia loves travelling and learning new languages. She’s also a keen (and very good) cook.


Jane AshtonJane Ashton

Jane joined the staff team in September 2012 after 17 years as a teacher and lay chaplain at Benenden School. She is married to Hubert and they have four grown-up children, Sam, Clemmie, Lucy and Sophie. She enjoys travel and is Trustee to a Christian educational charity that works in south India. She works two days a week, assisting Antonia with the pastoral care of girls.


Rupert ShelleyRupert Shelley

Rupert Shelley is married to Georgina and they have three children. Rupert first went on a Forres holiday (then called Swanage holidays) as an 11 year old from Elstree prep school. He studied Geography at Bristol University before serving a short service commission in the Royal Green Jackets. He trained for ordination at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford and served a four year curacy at Emmanuel Church, Wimbledon before joining the staff team to lead the Forres work. Rupert loves running through the countryside and swimming in the sea.


Joshua BroomfieldJoshua Broomfield

Joshua is the Iwerne Administrator. He studied Theology at Durham in between two Gap Years to The Gambia and a PGCE. Joshua’s interests include, but are not limited to; reading, writing, playing football, wholefoods, and wishing he was American.
